We had forty teams (40), a lot being Bass Cat Bat owners shooting for the Bass Cat Boats Quest incentive money. Bass fishing has slowed down considerbly at least from the hours of 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, which is par for the course in August. One bright note, there were no big ocean liners running up and down the lake like they normally do this time of the year. It was quite pleasant even if the bite was slow.
There were only twelve teams weighing fish, of the twelve only five of the teams had limits. Out of the fish weighed there were just four bass weighing 4 pounds, however Chad Green and his partner Cody Henik brought a toad that tipped the scales at 6.12 pounds winning big bass of the tournament plus taking second place with a total weight of 11.73 pounds. In addition, there were two bass weighing 5.96 and 5.45 pounds.

Since there are only two regular tournaments scheduled for the year before the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Championship, on September 14th, there was no information shared about where or what bait was used to catch their keepers. A good bet though would be jigs and plastic baits.
Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by Buch Maggart.
