Last night was the twelth Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament of year and it was a scorcher, which can be verified by the thirty-eight (38) teams launching out of PB#2. The bite was not as good as it has been the last few weeks. There were only eleven, four fish limits brought to the scales and normally there are twice that many limits weighed.
Some of the anglers struggled getting bit and just a few said they fished one brush pile or stetch of bank and limited out. A lot of non keepers were caught, but unfortunatley those don't count in tournaments. Anglers reported the best bite for them were jigs and worms worked in bruish 10 o 15 feet. A few anglers did say they caught some keepers behind docks after dark.
Tonight was also the Bass Cat Quest Incentive night for all the Bass Cat boat owners, which was won by brothers and Bass Cat boat owners, Eric and Troy Wiethrop. They brought four bass to the scales weighing 14.42 pounds and a hefty kicker weighing 5.36 pounds.
Big Bass of the tournament was a toad weighing 6.58 pounds caught by the team of Jeff Beauchamp and Richard Sansom.
Free entry for next weeks Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by brothers, Mike and Clayton Chandler.
