Thirty-six (36) teams decided to give their bass fishing skills a shot in the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament since the bass have been on a feeding frenzy. Normally it has been taking a least sixteen pounds to get in the hunt, however last night the bass were tight lipped, especially bass four pounds or better.
Quite a few of the anglers who have been bringing in heavy limits had a tough evening and believe part of the problem was the lack of generation causing the bite to slow down, at least last night. The lake conditions couldn't be better, the lake is clear and the water temperature is in the low 80's in the day and high 70's in the evening.
There were five bass brought to the scales that weighed 4 pounds or better and one bass that weighed 5.22 pounds, which was caught by the team of Gary Shultz and Scott Melton for big bass of the tournament.
Chad Green and Robbie Robinson each received a a gift certificate from Ripp'n Lips Bait & Tackle, in Kaiser, Missouri for being last place out of the money with their limit of 13.51 pounds.
Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team of Dan Weber and Richard Zeigenbein.
