WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY
AT BULL SHOALS
Clear with temps over 80 and a gentle breeze had anglers in a good mood. The bite however was off just a bit for most boats. Those that found the feeders did have good bags. The water temps hovered in the upper 50ís, up 10 degrees or so from just 3 weeks ago. The water level was up significantly also. This was the final Bull Shoals tournament for 2012 season.
Chris Scott, Ozark, MO and Cole VanHorn, Springfield, MO, brought in a 5 fish limit that weighed 18.76lbs. This earned the team 1st place. Alabama Rigs were the bait of choice for the team. They also had a 4.71lbs Largemouth that was good enough for 2nd Big Bass. The team fished in the upper part of the lake to catch their limit. Their bite came on in the afternoon.
Waco Johnson, West Plains, MO and Lynn Luther, Viola, AR are sponsored by Ozark Auto and Marine. They brought in a 5 fish limit that weighed 18.00lbs. Good for 2nd place. The A-rig worked for the team. They had good size fish in all 3 varieties. Their big largemouth hit the scales at 5.29 which earned the team 1st Big Bass.
The father and son team of Eric Blevins and Dustin Blevins, Harrison, AR, brought in 5 fish to hit the scales at 16.21lbs. This earned the team 3rd place.
As director of the 2012 Bull Shoals Division, I would like to thank all that participated in the division and all of our sponsors. Without either of these great groups this division would not be what it is and it continues to show growth. I look forward to seeing my friends at the classic in October and the 2013 season. A reminder to all to use our area Sav-a-Receipt sponsors such as West Plains Marine, Big Bobs Bait and Tackle, Mid-West Marine and Ozarks Auto and Marine.
Thanks to our sponsors at West Plains Marine. Pro packs were provided by Chompers, Seaguar, and BTS protectant.
The 2013 schedule will be out this summer. Thanks again to all.
