Catching was good on Thousand Hills today. Got out from 2 to 5 o'clock this afternoon. Caught my first keeper out of the grass in a spot that usually produces good fish. The next 4 keepers however came off a very specific pattern. The fish I caught were all really nice...one of them about 4lbs and a couple of 3's.The bass were shallow but they were holding around and on something in particular. The wind was howling hard enough that I could not see the amount of bait fish in the areas I was fishing. I caught my fish all except for one on a transmission bait. The fish were just choking it. One of them was on plastic.  I started out catching some shorts and just kept up sizing the bait I was using. Only caught 9 or so on the day. It seems like the bite is really on at Thousand Hills. I've been told of a lot of people getting over 20lbs with there best 5 lately. While I did not get all that today I think if I had a day out there right now it is totally possible. Seems like if your looking to catch some nice bass Thousand Hills is the place to be right  now. I'll be making a trip to the Ozarks this weekend. Until then keep it reel. Check my photos section for a picture of my days catch.
